Rockingham Wild Encounters can make your dolphin dream come true! Located just 45 minutes south of Perth, Western Australia. Rockingham Wild Encounters has been operating the multi award winning Swim with Wild Dolphins Cruise since 1989. There are over 200 local bottlenose dolphins that live amongst the sheltered waters of Rockingham’s bays & islands that we’ve come to know as friends. They don’t perform tricks and we don’t feed them, we simply spend some time enjoying each other’s company!
A Rockingham Wild Encounters vehicle will pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to the Cruising Yacht Club Jetty at Rockingham, the departure point of your cruise.
At 7.45am board your vessel to commence a Swim with the Dolphins cruise. Travel aboard Apollo III, a 15.5 metre motorised vessel, for the unforgettable experience of swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. Begin by cruising Rockingham's sheltered bays and islands in search of any of over 200 local dolphins. Once the skipper spots the first group of the day, an excited buzz takes over the boat, and the crew will ensure that you are fully prepared to enter the water. The silvery grey coloured dorsal fins start breaking the surface of the water within metres of the back of the boat. Once in the water, you will be surrounded by flashing grey torpedoes and the water fills with whistles, splashes and laughter - both human and dolphin. They do not do tricks and no feeding is involved, just spend some time enjoying this wild encounter.
A light lunch is served on board.
Cruise concludes between 11.00am and 2.30pm, depending on dolphin activity.
On return to the jetty, enjoy 45 minutes free time before the coach transfer back to Perth which takes approximately 45 minutes, then hotel drop offs will commence. Return time to Perth is between 12.30pm - 3.30pm.
