#1 Cottesloe Beach

Perth's iconic Cottesloe Beach is as pretty as a picture. It's one of the city's most popular spots for swimming, snorkelling, surfing and drinking in ocean sunsets over a glass of wine, a refreshing beer or a relaxed dinner.

#2 Kings Park & Botanic Garden

One of the largest inner-city parks in the world, Kings Park and Botanic Garden covers 400 hectares of Perth's heart with serene natural bushland and sculpted gardens. It's perched high on the crest of Mount Eliza, making it a top spot to take in sweeping panoramas of Perth's city skyline and Swan River.Join the locals for a coffee at one of the cafes, or lunch and dinner in the fine dining restaurant. Relax while the kids enjoy the playgrounds. Take a walk through the treetops along the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, stopping to learn about local fauna, Indigenous culture and European history.

#3 Scarborough Beach

For teens and surfers, Scarborough Beach is a firm favourite. The regular swell, impressive surf breaks and long stretch of white sand attract swimmers, surfers, body-boarders. Scarborough Beach is also popular for kite surfing and wind surfing, especially when the afternoon sea breeze is in. After taking in the stunning ocean sunset, you can grab a drink at the bars, pubs and clubs that make Scarborough's nightlife so popular.

#4 Marmion Marine Park

Just north of Perth, Marmion Marine Park is a snorkelling and diving playground of limestone reefs, ledges, caves, swim-throughs and crystal-clear lagoons. It's also a top spot for whale watching (in season).

Adventure World is Perth's only theme park/water park and it has recently opened Kraken, a AUD7 million mega funnel waterslide, the tallest, steepest and longest Tornado waterslide on the planet! Can you escape the clutches of the Kraken?

It's quite a privilege when you consider these are the original (circa Fourteenth Century) bells of Saint Martin in the Fields Church - the parish church of Buckingham Palace in Trafalgar Square, London.

One of Perth’s most delightful parklands, Lake Monger is home to the famous black swan. You can see black swans and many other water birds that exist on the lake, thanks to the creation of a special breeding island.
