Two hours drive from Bangkok, comes a place where I completely fell in love with. A resort that I wished I was staying longer with more time to enjoy the facilities, one night in Balios Resort KhaoYai was just not enough.
Pictures online don’t do justice to this beautiful resort. You’ll have to be there to truly enjoy every bit and corners for this peaceful and tranquil green space surrounded by the National Park-KhaoYai.
The design of the place makes you feel as if you were staying in a castle with tons of sculptures and arts exhibit around the resort. Walking to Palio, the Little Italy in Thailand was convenient as it has a passage connected to it.
I had a standard room that measures 26sqm with an interior décor inspired by an Italian-villa. A balcony with a stunning garden view that couldn’t take my eyes off, wishing I had some time to just sit and relax on my beautiful balcony. It was simplicity at its best with nice touch homey items such as an adorable old-school alarm clock by the bedside and an oddly shaped coat hanger that I used to hang my towel and bathrobe.
The toilet was the only thing I felt it was too simple and small. Kicking it up a notch by extending restroom space and adding a fancy clawfoot bathtub would have totally got me head over heels for this Italian inspired room.
Internet was decent in speed, I remembered playing ‘coffee places’ music on Spotify without the hassle of buffing while I sadly packed my bags with the balcony door wide open. Breakfast was quite depressing though, nothing much worth mentioning.
