If your mission to Bangkok is solely shopping, Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam is the place to be. Located in Bangkok’s fashion district, this hotel is situated above Platinum Mall. It’s also just a few minutes walk from Central World Shopping Center, Siam Square, MBK, Pratunam Market and BTS stations.
Featuring 283 modern designed rooms, the hotel offers two bars, one restaurant, five multi-purpose meeting rooms, free Wifi Internet, swimming pool, fitness centre and indoor carpark.
I was quite glad that I had three nights in this hotel even though I’m out most of the time. I love the idea that I can just walk out and start shopping. When I first stepped into my room, I was over the moon with the overall modern look. I truly like my bathroom and toilet separated, the big space in between, my vanity station is an added bonus.
Directly behind it, is a full body mirror that makes you stop and stare at yourself every time before I walk out the door. I have tons of closet space, literally tons and they are all hidden which makes the whole room looked so much neater. I fancy it to not have a mirror facing directly in front of my bed and talking about bed, it’s super comfortable.
It took me quite a while to get used to a fully see through bathroom, even when I brought down the blinds, it’s still felt rather transparent. For one, you can still see the sexy outline of your body when the bathroom lights are on. So, this is definitely not a room that you want to share with your pure platonic guy friends or even parents and opposite sex siblings.
I love their restaurant design. I purposely wake up early just to have breakfast by the window so I can do people watching from the 6th floor of the hotel. Plus their breakfast selection is quite good. I can see myself sitting there for hours while enjoying my breakfast if I have the time.
