I had the opportunity to visit Universal Studio Singapore and SEA Aquarium for the first time last November 2014 and here are a few things that really caught my attention.

#13 Watch them swim

Stand at the Open Ocean corner in SEA Aquarium and just watch all the majestic sea creatures swim around. Seriously, first class view as if you were diving in the ocean.

#12 Touch a starfish

Or a sea cucumber at the Discovery Touch Pool in SEA Aquarium. Don’t worry, they do have a sink nearby for you to wash your hands after.

#11 Take a close-up shot of a jellyfish

They are truly the most beautiful thing ever! They float so effortlessly in the most graceful way.

#10 Be a tourist, take a map and plan your rides

It’s a big playground and to make the most out of your day, it’s best to take sometime to look at the map to plan your rides. This will help a lot especially during peak seasons where almost all the rides come with a long queue.

#9 Photo-op with the castle in Far Far Away land

Well, let’s face it, this is the closest I can get to admire a Disney castle… and it’s big and beautiful. 

#8 Get wet and use the drying pods

I highly suggest you to go on a thrilling river raft ride of Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure located in The Lost World. Many will choose to buy a poncho to protect themselves from the splash but let’s be brave and embrace getting ever slightly drenched. Look at the bright side, you’ll have a reason to use the cool looking drying pods located at the exit of the ride.

#7 [Must Ride] Revenge of the Mummy

The entrance is just ride behind us. Located at the beautiful Ancient Egypt, this ride is a high-speed roller coaster that includes sudden and dramatic acceleration, climbing, tilting, dropping, and backward motion. Yes, backward motion! In total darkness!!!! I would ride this 10 times and still feel the excitement.

#6 [Must Ride] Transformers: The Ultimate 3D Battle

You’ve probably heard this before, as it’s a ride that’s hyped by many. Well, it’s because it’s really good. Nothing scary, just a fun action-ride experience while watching Optimus Prime kicking the bad guys ass in 3D.

#5 Be a Cookie Monster

Seriously, these Sesame Street cookies are absolutely adorable and delicious! You can buy them from a cart in New York section.

#4 Get up close and personal with your favourite characters

Sometimes, they come out and play too! Not just Elmo and the gang but also Marilyn Monroe, Minions, Autobots, Sherk, Puss in Boots and many more. Their schedules are usually available at the info counter. 

#3 [Must See] Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg

If you are a broadcasting amateur, this going to be super interesting because you’ll get to see how an empty sound stage becomes the setting for a major hurricane about to hit New York city – right before your very eyes!

#2 Dine-in at Mel’s Drive-In

Complete your Hollywood experience with a slice of this classic American dine-in place. They even have vintage cars parked outside the diner. 

#1 End your tour at the Iconic Ball

Technically, it’s placed outside of the themepark entrance, so you don’t really need a ticket to take this picture. However, it’s a must do to snap a few photos with this iconic ball when visiting USS.
