These 1600 papier-mâché pandas have travelled half the globe before finally, coming to Malaysia! They are here on a special mission to pass an important message from World Wide Fund for Nature – Malaysia (WWF – Malaysia) regarding the significance of environmental preservation to every corner of the country.
1600 is the exact amount of the existing pandas in the woods during the time this campaign was launched back then. These pandas are made of water, rice and recycled paper by Paulo Grangeon, a French Artist and his team crafted them in various sizes and expressions.
Their first stop will be at Dataran Merdeka on 21st December 2014 at 10.30am. This exhibition in Malaysia will last for 1 month, making stops at more than 15 locations, to raise public awareness on environmental preservations.
