#1 Arari Village

Arari Village or Ararichon is a place featuring the traditional houses and lifestyle of Jeongseon. Each house offers a variety of programmes that available for you to experience. Some of the special houses are Jeoreupjib House, Neowajib House (a single-roofed house), Doljib House (a stone-roofed house), and Gwiteuljib House (log house). Some of them are unique as they can’t be found in any other regions. There are even sculptures inspired by Park Ji-won’s novel ‘Yangbanjeon’ (A Story Of A Nobleman) displayed throughout the village.

#2 Arirang School Memories Museum

We can’t seem to find much info of this but we do know that this museum is located inside the Jeongseon Airang School and it exhibits historical artefacts from modern and contemporary eras. You can find things such as old school textbooks and notebooks, ttakji, household items and more that are all related to the folk song Arirang. #3 A-Train

The Jeongseon Arirang A-Train is a one that loops through Jeongseon County in central Gangwon-do. It’s sort a tour programme where the A-Train only runs once per day, departing from Cheongnyangni Station at 8.10am and pass through several stations in Gangwon-do, including Mindungsan and Jeongseon, before arriving at Auraji Station (final destination) around 12.40pm. It returns from Auraji Station at 5.10pm and arrives at Seoul at 9.30pm. During the trip, you’ll get to listen to the song ‘Arirang’ , enjoy a magic show, a quiz show, and take photos in Korial-prepared costumes as well as cartoon drawings. #4 Auraji

It’s the setting for the Jeongseon Arirang traditional song, where a woman was unable to cross a flooded river yearns to meet her lover. Today, visitors is allowed to cross the river over a suspension bridge, or ride in a boat pulled by hand along a horizontal rope across the river. The best part, it’s all free! #5 Jeongseon Arirang Academy

If you are planning to visit the Arirang Museum, might as well walk around the academy. The academy was established to hand down and promote Jeongseon Arirang. The place has a teaching room, reference room, performance hall and etc. It also provides classes to allow public to learn Arirang from the Master singer of Jeongseon Arirang.
