
Last year, more than 7000 cities and towns around the world join in the big switch off as part of the annual green campaign Earth Hour organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise awareness of climate change and other environmental causes.
World centres like Shanghai and Sydney were among the first to plunge into total darkness, then followed by Britain, France, New York City and Las Vegas – all flipped the switch for a good cause.
