Grevin Museum is a wax museum first established in Paris, France in 1882, which crafts and exhibits wax models that realistically represent international figures. The museum has been carefully selecting historic and cultural cities around the world to open international branches.
This July, Grevin Seoul will be the first Asian branch to open, and it is expected to gather throngs of Asian tourists including those from China, Japan and Thailand. Apart from Grevin Paris, other international branches include Grevin Montreal and Grevin Praha.
To be located in the Eulji-ro office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Grevin Seoul will sit close to Myeong-dong, Deoksugung Palace, Cheonggyecheon Stream and other key tourist destinations in Seoul.
Visitors will not only be surprised by the realistic wax models of famous Hallyu stars and sports stars, but will also have the opportunity to learn about the past and present of Korea as well as its history and culture. Meanwhile, each exhibition area is said to hold different themes.
