If you think Jeju Island is not awesome enough, say Hello to Kitty Island. An exhibition hall themed around our favourite feline character and a whole lot of pink, it’s definitely the happiest one-day trip in the world for all Hello Kitty fans out there!
Opened in December 2013, this 3-floored museum aims to provide a fun program that visitors of all generations can enjoy.
You’ll first visit the two-storey Hello Kitty house. You’ll walk into her foyer, dinning room, and even kitchen. Then, be entertained when you visit the library as well as the karaoke room where you’ll get to sing and dance along with Hello Kitty.
Second floor is where the magic begins. Go deep into the world of Alice in Wonderland Hello Kitty and Red Riding Hood Hello Kitty. You can also board on a pirate ship or enjoy a stargazing room complete with Hello Kitty collections and beautiful kaleidoscopic images.
More collectables to enjoy when you walk into the art gallery, it highlights Hello Kitty in every situation, costume and art form possible. Otherwise, you can proceed to the third floor to watch a 6-minute Hello Kitty 3D movie before moving outside to lawn for some fresh air and the magnificent view of Mt. Halla.
If you are hungry, there’s always the Hello Kitty café waiting for you with Hello Kitty cakes, waffles and many more. Also, how can we forget about the gift store, the best place to purchase your souvenirs for your fellow Hello Kitty lover friends. They have everything from books, mobile covers, suitcase, clothing and many more.
