Bored of the same old hotel experience? A trip to Australia’s Jamala Wildlife Lodge may just do the trick. It’s a brand-new hotel located in the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra, Australia, and they let you stay as close to the zoo animals as possible.
Apparently, at the lodge, you are almost directly sharing a room with live animals. You can do things like taking a bath with brown bears next to you, dining with the lions, feeding giraffes from your balcony, and more.
The suites are separated into 3 residences: the Giraffe Treehouses, uShaka Lodge, and the Jungle Bungalows. Each has a different group of animals for you to watch.
Accommodations at the hotel are available for one night only, including pre-dinner drinks, an African-inspired dinner in “The Cave” restaurant, and a continental breakfast the next morning.
Besides that, the mini bar is also complimentary. Guest will have full access to zoo both days, as well as an exclusive tour of the zoo each day.
Rooms and suites starts at $400 per person, per night, however, all profits goes back to the zoo in the form of programs aimed at assisting animal reproduction at the zoo.
