If you are going to Hong Kong this summer, you are in luck! Meet these adorable paper mache pandas that are part of an art project touring the world to raise awareness on conservation issues.
This project is a collaboration between the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) and French paper mache artist Paulo Grangeon, who made 1600 paper mache pandas to represent the 1600 living pandas left in the wild.
The pandas will be visiting Hong Kong from 14th June to 17th July 2014 and making their appearances at iconic Hong Kong landmarks including Hong Kong International Airport, Tian Tan Buddha, Ma Wan, Sha Tin Racecourse, Clock Tower, Victoria Park, Ocean Park and many more. Click here to find out more on their whereabouts.
For the finale, an exhibition of ‘1600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong: Creativity Meets Conservation’ will be held at PMQ and there will be a ‘Panda Adoption Scheme’ where you can take home one paper mache panda (price ranges from HK$200 to HK$450) at the end of the exhibition with proceeds going to WWF Hong Kong.
