Make way for your favourite googly-eyed, furry friends Cookie Monster, Elmo, Bert and Ernie as Global sports brand PUMA continues their partnership with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, in Spring ’19 for the fourth straight season.

To mark Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary, PUMA and Sesame Workshop are launching a collection inspired by the heritage of both brands with original Sesame Street characters in a cut-and-paste, comic style motifs rendered in beloved PUMA silhouettes.

Since its premiere in 1969, Sesame Street has brought laughter and learning to generations of children in 150 countries. Sesame Street transformed educational television by combining live action, sketch comedy, animation and puppetry. Now turning 50 years, it continues to inspire children around the world with Sesame Workshop’s mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.

Each piece in the collection feature the Muppets of Sesame Street where their individuality and uniqueness shine, with fun designs and splashes of colour. PUMA’s sport-inspired styles like the Sesame Street 50 Suede Jr, which is decked with playful cut-and-paste, comic style design in vibrant colours that pop. The Sesame Street 50 RS- 0 features playful renditions of Bert, Ernie and Cookie Monster on the tongue with fresh colour blocking, comic-inspired graphics and a soft EVA footbed.

Completing the pack is a wide range of apparel and accessories for boys and girls. A colourful Sesame Street tape appears across the collection – from jackets and crew to the backpacks and caps.

And what is a party without a nice, special packaging. To mark the occasion, PUMA and Sesame Workshop created a shoe box with unique and heartfelt artwork designed by kids. As Sesame Street is all about community, the contest was conducted on Instagram where kids were asked to take inspiration from all-time Sesame Street heroes doing what they love to do in the city. Whether it’s a bike ride through the park or playing with their friends.

The PUMA x Sesame Street 50 collection is now available at PUMA KLCC and Sunway Pyramid ranging from RM 79 – RM 359.
