The Rainbow Serpent is an extremely important creation figure in aboriginal beliefs and mythology. Though, the festival offers much more than the usual electronic music line-up. It’s a chance to escape the commercialism of the modern day world and reconnect with the earth in a way that the aboriginals have done for many thousands of years. #3 Easterfest

Easterfest is a massive festival that’s all about Easter! Located in the Queensland city of Toowoomba, this festival takes over the entire city for four days. The best part is that it’s perfect for families with youth and kids as they have something for everyone. Easterfest is happening from the 2-5 April 2015. #4 Byron Bay Bluesfest

It took Australia a couple of decades to catch up with the rest of the world when it comes to music festival, but Byron Bay Bluesfest is definitely one of the best. With Koala as the icon, they are distributed throughout the Bluesfest site. They are free to move about but don’t worry, there will be staff present to provide assistance should you encounter one. Some of the 2015 acts are The Black Keys, Zac Brown Band, Train, Alabama Shakes, Beth Hart and more. It’s happening on the 2-6 April 2015 at Byron Bay, Australia.
