Vietnam’s new-age carrier Vietjet, today announced the opening of a new international route linking Hong Kong with Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). The route will commence operations on 9 December 2016.

The new route is Vietjet’s first frequent service to Hong Kong, which increases Vietjet’s total frequent routes between Vietnam and China to nine. The airline currently boasts a total of 53 routes, 18 of which are international.

With a flight time of 2 hours 45 minutes per leg, the new route will depart daily from Hong Kong at 19:20 (local time) and arrive at 21:05. The return leg from Ho Chi Minh City will take off at 14:35 (local time) and land at Hong Kong International Airport at 18:20.
