Vietjet today launched its newest international route connecting Kuala Lumpur with Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The inaugural flight coded VJ825 that landed at Kuala Lumpur at around 12:00 local time, received a warm welcome by guests and senior leaders from the governments of Malaysia and Vietnam respectively. Among them were Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung as well as representatives from both countries’ authorities.

Passengers on the inaugural flight from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City were able to enjoy Malaysia traditional dances performed by Vietjet’s dancers, experienced Halal food served on board and got special gifts from Vietjet’s flight attendants.

To celebrate the launch, Vietjet will give away hundreds of thousands of promotional tickets, priced from just MYR0.00 (terms and conditions apply) in its “Enjoy your summer” campaign which is part of the “It is time to Vietjet” promotion. The latest promotion which runs from May 31st, 2016 to June 02nd, 2016 is applicable for all tickets on the Kuala Lumpur – Ho Chi Minh City route from 13:00 – 15:00 (Malaysia time). Travel period is from August 15th, 2016 to December 31st, 2016 (excluding public holidays). 

The Kuala Lumpur – Ho Chi Minh City route is operated on a daily basis. Flying time per sector is about one hour and 55 minutes. The flights take off from Kuala Lumpur at 13:00 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 13:55 (local time). Return flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 9:30 (local time) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25.
