ITINERARY / SCHEDULE
DAY 1 - Lanzhou (Arrival)
Upon arrival Lanzhou International Airport, the capital city of northwest China's Gansu provincem local representative will pick up and transfer to hotel check in. The city of Lanzhou lies at the geographical heart of China, the capital of Gansu province, is a major transportation and industrial center and was an important stop on the Silk Road that linked China's ancient capital Xi'an with Central Asia and the Roman Empire. As an essential transportation terminal in Chinese Silk Road and Eurasian Continental Bridge, Lanzhou Railway Station functions as a window for the northwest area looking into the rest parts of China. It is also quite convenient for tourists to take Tibet trains to Lhasa from Lanzhou, since the opening of Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

DAY 2 - Lanzhou - Tibet Lhasa by The Qinghai Tibet Railway
Breakfast serve at hotel, proceed to Train Station and board to The Qinghai Tibet Railway bound for Lhasa, is a high-elevation railway that connects Xining, Qinghai Province to Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Train departs at time and boardinng point from Lanzhou or Xinning is subject to final confirmation. Enjoy a whole day Tibet's beautiful scenery to Xinning. Overnight on train, train will arrive at Lhasa on the next day morning or afternoon.

DAY 3 - Lhasa
Breakfast at own expenses on board. Upon arrival at Lhasa Station, you will meet and assist by our local tour guide and visit to Lhasa Yak Museum, the world's first yak-themed Museum. The Tibet Yak Museum will introduce the origin of yak and the yak culture in art works made by Tibetan people. Three parts will be exhibited, natural and scientific yak, historical and humane yak culture, spiritual and artistic yak. Then, proceed to check in hotel. Have a good rest after a long journey to avoid the high altitude sickness. DAY 4 - Lhasa
Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Potala Palace, a winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, symbolizes Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration of Tibet. The complex, comprising the White and Red Palaces with their ancillary buildings, is built on Red Mountain in the centre of Lhasa Valley, at an altitude of 3,700m above sea level. Continue visit to Jokhang Temple. Included on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2000 as part of the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple is located in central Lhasa. The Jokhang Temple is a four-storey timber complex with a golden top. It adopted the architectural styles of the Tang Dynasty, as well as those of Tibet and Nepal. Thereafer, come to Barkhor Street, an old and traditional shopping street in the center of Lhasa. It is also a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid. DAY 5 - Lhasa - Yamdroktso Lake - Shigatse
Breakfast serve at hotel, proceed to Yamdroktso Lake (Altitude: 4,441 m above sea level), one of Tibet’s three holy lakes, is located 100km outside of Lhasa. Climbing over the snow pass of Mount Kambala (Altitude: 4,990 m above sea level), the lake finally appears. Seen from the summit of Kambala pass, the lake is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. Leaving Yamdroktso is as spectacular as arriving, since you’ll cross the Karola Glacier, with its awesome roadside views of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier. Then, proceed to Shigatse. Whole journey will take around 360km, 9 hours drive. DAY 6 - Shigatse - Lhasa
Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery, the largest Buddhist Temple in Shigatse. Tashilunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 and is the largest Yellow Hat sect monastery in Tibet. Shigaste is Tibet’s 2nd most important city and Tashilunpo was the seat of the Panchen Lamas. Thereafter, drive around 5 hours (280km) journey back to Lhasa. DAY 7 - Lhasa - Lanzhou
Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Zashi Lhamo Temple (Zaki Temple). At the beginning, this temple wasn’t popular with those who pray for wealth. It was a temple for people to seek peace. Just some businessmen came to make wishes for wealth and their wishes came true. Then, it gradually became the well-known Temple of God of Wealth. Then, transfer to the airport for domestic flight from Lhasa to Lanzhou (flight duration about 2 hours 15 minutes) **Domestic Flight exclude from the ground-package's price, please refer OPTIONAL ADD ON. DAY 8 - Lanzhou (Departure)
Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to White Pagoda Mountain Park (Baitashan). White Pagoda Mountain Park built around the mountain with an elevation of 1700 meters, opened in 1958 as a park. It passes across the Yellow River railway bridge, climbs up along the mountain. And there are square mansion, palace courts, corridors, and emerald green trees which is very spectacular. Then, coach view Yellow River Mother Sculpture, it was appraised as a piece of excellent work in the First Chinese City Sculpture Design Contest. The Yellow River Mother Sculpture has become a landmark building of Lanzhou. Then visit to The Waterwheel Expo Garden. Lanzhou is the only city through which the Yellow River flows; there are thus many irrigation machines in the city. The waterwheel invented by Duan Xu in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) is the oldest one. After dinner, send to airport for flight departure (Valid for flight depart at late night).
