DAY 2 - Xi An

After breakfast, today’s itinerary is as follows:

  • Xi’an City Wall - The Xi’an City Wall is one of the most complete and largest ancient city walls still standing in China. Originally built during the Ming Dynasty, it encircles the historic city center and stretches approximately 13.7 kilometers in length. Visitors may stroll or cycle along the wall, experiencing the grandeur of ancient defensive architecture. Wearing traditional Hanfu while touring the wall further enhances the immersive atmosphere, allowing visitors to appreciate the rich historical charm and the elegance of ancient Chang’an. 
  • Yongxingfang - Yongxingfang is a well-known food street in Xi’an, gathering a wide variety of local Shaanxi snacks and traditional delicacies. The area preserves its traditional architectural style, and while sampling the cuisine, visitors can also experience the vibrant street life and deep cultural heritage, making it an ideal place to savor authentic Shaanxi flavors.
  • Xi’an Museum (Small Wild Goose Pagoda) - Located along the central axis of Jianfu Temple in southern Xi’an, the Small Wild Goose Pagoda is part of a National AAAA-level tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The pagoda dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and remains well preserved to this day.
  • Bell and Drum Towers (Including tower ascent) - The Bell and Drum Towers are among the most iconic historical landmarks in Xi’an. Located in the city center, they stand facing each other at a short distance apart. Both were built during the Ming Dynasty and served as important structures for timekeeping and city administration, giving rise to the well-known tradition of “morning bell and evening drum.” The Bell Tower is dignified and symmetrical, symbolizing the heart of the ancient city, while the Drum Tower is grand in scale and houses a collection of ancient drums that reflect traditional timekeeping culture. Together, they represent the essence of Ming Dynasty architecture and the historical character of Xi’an as a thousand-year-old capital. The illuminated night view is especially spectacular.
  • Muslim Quarter - The Muslim Quarter is one of Xi’an’s most famous and lively districts for food and culture. Home to a large Hui Muslim community, the area is lined with halal restaurants, traditional snack stalls, and handicraft shops. It offers a wide variety of authentic local delicacies, including roujiamo (Chinese-style meat sandwiches), lamb soup with flatbread, cold noodles, and grilled skewers. More than just a food street, the Muslim Quarter is an ideal place to experience Xi’an’s diverse ethnic culture and vibrant everyday life.

DAY 3 - Xi An

After breakfast, today’s itinerary is as follows:

  • Terracotta Warriors Museum - The Terracotta Warriors were created as burial objects to accompany the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Thousands of detailed, life-size clay figures represent the emperor’s imperial guard and army. Each figure was individually crafted, fired, then assembled and painted. The Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xi’an is a must-see attraction, widely regarded as one of the greatest archaeological sites in the world and one of the most significant discoveries of the 20th century. (Complimentary DIY hand-crafted terracotta figurine experience included.)
  • Huaqing Palace - Huaqing Palace is one of China’s most renowned historical and cultural sites, with a history spanning over 3,000 years. It originally served as a royal hot spring resort during the Tang Dynasty and is famous for the legendary love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang Guifei. Nestled against the mountains and surrounded by water, the palace complex features elegantly arranged halls and pavilions, and preserves Tang Dynasty hot spring remains such as the Guifei Pool, Lotus Pool, and Shangshi Pool, vividly showcasing the grandeur and architectural style of the High Tang period.

DAY 4 - Xi An - Luoyang

After breakfast, travel by high-speed train from Xi’an to Luoyang.

Today’s itinerary is as follows:

  • Longmen Grottoes - Located along both banks of the Yi River in Luoyang, the Longmen Grottoes are one of China’s Four Great Grottoes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Carved beginning in the Northern Wei Dynasty and continued through several subsequent dynasties, the site preserves a vast collection of exquisite Buddhist statues and stone carvings, representing the pinnacle of Chinese stone-carving art.
  • Yingtianmen Ruins Park of the Sui–Tang Luoyang City - Yingtianmen was the main southern gate of the Sui and Tang Dynasty capital of Luoyang, honored as the “First Gate of the Sui and Tang Dynasties.” The ruins park features reconstructed displays on the original site, presenting a grand and imposing scene. It is an important place to understand the urban planning of the ancient capital and the imperial ceremonial system of the Sui and Tang periods.
  • Luoyi Ancient City - Luoyi Ancient City is themed around Luoyang’s traditional culture, combining ancient streets and alleys with intangible cultural heritage displays and folk experiences. It showcases the historical character of this ancient capital of the Central Plains and is a popular destination for experiencing local culture and the charming nighttime atmosphere of Luoyang.

DAY 5 - Luoyang - Xi An

After breakfast, today’s itinerary is as follows:

  • Lijingmen Ancient Street - Lijingmen is one of the important city gates of ancient Luoyang. The old street, built along the gate, preserves traditional Chinese architectural styles and is lined with local snacks and handicrafts. It is a popular area for experiencing the historic atmosphere of Luoyang’s old city and its vibrant street culture.
  • White Horse Temple (Baima Temple) -Originally built during the Eastern Han Dynasty, White Horse Temple is the first state-sponsored Buddhist temple in China and is honored as the “cradle of Chinese Buddhism.” The temple is shaded by ancient trees and features solemn halls and courtyards, making it an important sacred site for understanding the history and culture of Chinese Buddhism.

Afterwards, take a high-speed train back to Xi’an.

DAY 6 - Xi An (Departure)

After breakfast, today’s itinerary is as follows:

  • Da Ci’en Temple (Giant Wild Goose Pagoda) - Da Ci’en Temple was built during the Tang Dynasty and was one of the most important royal Buddhist temples in ancient Chang’an. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, located within the temple complex, was constructed in 652 AD under the supervision of the renowned monk Xuanzang to house the Buddhist scriptures and statues he brought back from India. With its dignified and simple design, the pagoda is a classic example of early Chinese brick pagoda architecture and one of the most symbolic landmarks of Xi’an, reflecting the height of Buddhist culture and architectural achievement during the High Tang period.
  • Hanfu Costume and Styling Experience (Including Basic Hanfu Outfit & Basic Makeup)This experience allows visitors to dress in traditional Han Chinese attire, complemented by basic makeup and styling with professional assistance. Wearing Hanfu while exploring Xi’an’s historic sites and Tang-style districts offers a deeper appreciation of traditional Chinese clothing and etiquette, creating memorable moments with a strong sense of ancient elegance.
  • “The Twelve Hours of Chang’an” Themed Cultural Block - It is an immersive themed cultural area inspired by the Tang Dynasty capital of Chang’an. The area is themed around the culture of the Tang Dynasty and combines spectacular lighting displays, street performances, Tang-style architecture, and modern commercial spaces. Brilliantly illuminated at night, it vividly showcases the openness and prosperity of the Tang Dynasty and is a must-visit destination to experience Xi’an’s vibrant nightlife and Tang-era charm.

Finally, transfer to the Xi An Xianyang International Airport for flight departure.
