ITINERARY / SCHEDULE

DAY 1 - Silangit (Arrival) - Parapat

Upon arrival Silangit International Airport, you will meet to our local representative. Proceed to Huta Ginjang, the best 360 degree angle view of Lake Toba. Lake Toba is one of the awesome natural wonders of the world. At over 1,145 square km, and a depth of 450 meters, Lake Toba is actually more like an ocean. This is the largest lake in Southeast Asia and one of the deepest lakes in the world. After lunch, free shopping at Balige Traditional Market, you can buy Ulos-Batak Tobanese weaving clothes or scarf here. Tonight, overnight at Parapat.

Remark: Hotel will be arranged at Parapat or Samosir Island, subject to room availability.

DAY 2 - Parapat - Samosir Island - Parapat

Breakfast at hotel, take ferry boat to Samosir Island. It is the largest island within an island, and the fifth largest lake island in the world. It located in the middle of Lake Toba and is known as a cultural centre of Batak Tobanese. Upon arrival, visit to Tomok Village. There are some beautiful traditional Batak houses and the ancient stone tomb of King Sidabutar to be found at Tomok. Next, visit to Ambarita Village, where the stone chairs, court house and the execution place of King Siallagan are being preserved till today. Then, lunch at Tuk Tuk area. After lunch, cruise back to Parapat. After that, visit Soekarno House. Soekarno (first President of Indonesia) was exiled here from 1934 to 1938. Transfer back to hotel for rest.

DAY 3 - Parapat - Balige

Breakfast at hotel, visit Traditional Market where you can shop for local fruits and spices. After lunch, proceed to Museum Balige T.B. Silalahi Centre, a complex dedicated to the preservation of the cultural values of the indigenous ethnic population of North Sumatra. After that, visit Indonesia National Hero Grave. Then, visit Bulbul Beach. Relax at the beach. Tonight, check in to Balige hotel.
