ITINERARY / SCHEDULE
DAY 1 - New Chitose (Arrival) - Hakodate

Arrival Sapporo New Chitose Airport, local representative will pick up and start the journey drive around 3-4 hours journey to Hakodate. Located at the southernmost tip of Hokkaido, Hakodate is the third largest city on the northern island. It rejoices in breathtaking views, delicious fresh seafood and a magnificent natural environment. En-route, visit to Konbukan Museum, a place where you can fell and experience everthing about Seaweed. Upon arrival, have a leisure walk at Meijikan and Kanemori Red Brick House. Several red brick warehouses from past trading days survive along the waterfront in the bay area of Hakodate, and have recently been redeveloped into an atmospheric shopping, dining and entertainment complex. Then, visit to Fort Goryokaku and Goryokaku Tower (107 meters high). Fort Goryokaku is a massive, star shaped, Western style citadel, which was built in the last years of the Edo Period for the defense of Hakodate against the imperialist threat posed by the Western powers. A few years later, the fort became the site of a civil war between an army of the shogunate and the superior troops of the newly established Meiji government. After the fort had lost its military importance, it was eventually turned into a public park in the 1910s. Over one thousand cherry trees were planted along its moats, making it one of Hokkaido's best cherry blossom spots. The peak of the blooming season usually takes place around early May. Tonight, ride a Ropeway to Mount Hakodate and enjoy Hakodate nightview from the top. Awarded the highest rating of three stars in the "Michelin Green Guide Japon", the view from Mt. Hakodate is described as "worth taking time out to see." After dinner, check in Hakodate Hotel.

DAY 2 - Hakodate - Lake Toya / Noboribetsu

Breakfast serve at hotel, procced to Mount Usu (included cable car), an active volcano located on north of Lake Toya (Cable car always subject to weather condition). Next visit to Mountain Showa Shinzan, one of Japan’s youngest mountains, and also visit a Bear Ranch beside Mountain Showa. Tonight, check in Hot Spring (Onsen) Hotel. Dinner will be served as buffet at hotel restaurant. After dinner, you may enjoy hot spring facilities in the resort.

Onsen - is a term for hot springs in the Japanese language, though the term is often used to describe the bathing facilities and inns around the hot springs. As a volcanically active country, Japan has thousands of onsen scattered along its length and breadth. Onsen were traditionally used as public bathing places and today play a central role in directing Japanese domestic tourism.

Yukata -  is a Japanese garment, a casual summer kimono usually made of cotton or synthetic fabric, and unlined. Yukata are worn by both men and women. People wearing yukata are a common sight in Japan, it is ready in room for you to experience it, you are welcome to wear it during your entire stay in resort or before heading to bath in onsen. 

Caution! Do not enter an onsen or hot spring or bath facility under the following circumstances,  

  • Bathing in high temperature baths with high blood pressure, heart conditions and/or a high degree of arterial sclerosis.
  • Bathing in high temperature baths or bathing for a long period of time during the first and final stages of pregnancy.

DAY 3 - Noboribetsu / Lake Toya - Otaru - Jozankei

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to The Shiraoi Ainu Museum (Ainu Village). An aboriginal open air museum, which is also commonly known as Porotokotan (meaning large lakeside village in the Ainu language), is a replica village consisting of five thatched houses along the shore of Lake Poroto. Thereafter, visit to Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell valley), is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters. Then, drive around 1 hour journey to next city, Otaru. Upon arrival, visit to Otaru’s famous Otaru Canal. Otaru was a port city, with many historical buildings and today it is a popular tourist destination. And free shopping time and get your souviner at Kitaichi Glass & Music Box Museum and etc. Tonight, check in Hot Spring (Onsen) Hotel at Jozankei. Dinner will be served as buffet at hotel restaurant. After dinner, you may enjoy hot spring facilities in the resort.

DAY 4 - Jozankei - Sapporo

Breakfast serve at hotel, back to Sapporo and start the city tour with Shiroi Koibito Park and visit chocolate factory. The park consists of a free area with a shop, cafe and restaurant and a paid area with various chocolate related exhibits and, most interestingly, a few large windows through which visitors can observe the cookie production process in the factory. Then, visit to Hokkaidō Shrine. Hokkaido Shrine was built in 1869 when Hokkaido settlement first started and has become one of the most popular Japanese temples in Hokkaido. After lunch, pass by Odori Park, Sapporo Clock Tower and Hokkaido Former Government Building. Thereafter, free shopping time at Tanuki Koji, a ten block long outdoor shopping arcade with everything ranging from clothing, jewelry and souvenirs to nightclubs, cafes and restaurants, conveniently running East to West in the Odori Area in central Sapporo.

Next, enjoy last shopping at famous Mitsui Outlet
