ITINERARY / SCHEDULE
DAY 1 - Busan (Arrival) - Yeosu

Upon arrival Busan Gimhae Airport, meet and greet by local guide. Take around 4 hours journey drive to Yeosu. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After lunch, experience Yeosu Ocean Rail Bike, comprised of a 3.5 kilometer-long open track that follows the rocky coast of Yeosu. Passing through the open air as well as a tunnel section, it is a unique and exciting experience anyone can enjoy at a leisurely pace. The track and rail bikes undergo regular safety inspections, meaning it's a completely safe way to enjoy Yeosu's beautiful coast. The next, time to Yeosu Maritime Cable Car, is the first of its kind in Korea, connecting Dolsan Island and the mainland over the ocean. Then, visit Hanwha Aqua Planet Yeosu, the 2nd largest aquarium in South Korea. A place you can see the Whales, Marine Girls with Creatures in the Main Tank and Sealion Show. Thereafter, visit to Odongdo Island. Despite being an island off the coast, visitors can simply walk along the breakwater installed from Yeosu Port all the way to Odongdo Island. There are 70 species of wild flowers that flourish here, a hill commemorating the plantation of the very first tree and a spacious grassy field making this place great for ecological education. After dinner, check in to hotel for rest.

DAY 2 - Yeosu - Gwangju

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Suncheon Bay Garden Park. Which are 2013 Suncheon Garden Expo with theme of The Garden of Earth. Korean photographers often select Suncheonman Bay as one of the best spots to watch sunsets in Korea. After lunch, visit to Boseong Green Tea (Daehan Dawon Tourist Tea Plantation). Even the road leading to Daehan Dawon Plantation is very beautiful, full of green tea fields and cedar trees. There are several country roads in Korea known for their beauty, and one of them is the Boseong Cedar Road. Dinner at local restaurant, tonight check in to Gwangju Hotel.

DAY 3 - Gwangju

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to May 18 Democracy Square. In May 1980, the Jeollanam-do Provincial Government office building was the headquarters of the civil resistance movement and the scene of a number of rallies. The plaza has been officially known as the May 18 Democracy Square (5.18 Minju Gwangjang) since 1996. Then, visit to Wolbongseowon Confucian Academy (closed on Monday), experience to wear Traditional Confucian School Uniforms. After lunch, visit to 1913 Songjeong Station Market. Visitors can enjoy all the classic market foods here, such as hotteok (hot griddle cakes), gyeran bap (rice with egg), and eomuk (fisk cake). Then, visit to Yangnim-dong Penguin Village. Follow the penguin-shaped signage and enter the narrow street behind Yangnim-dong Community Service Center. You will find a village from the 1970s and '80s being transformed into an outdoor exhibition space. The "Penguin Village" was named after the way the elderly with knee pain walked somewhat like penguins. Villagers began to clean up burned down and abandoned houses there and brought things to exhibit on the walls. Penguin Tavern in the middle of the village is a chat room for residents. The room, though small, is filled with all kinds of objects from the residents. In front of the Craft Studio, residents post village newsletters. After dinner, back to hotel for rest.

DAY 4 - Gwangju - Damyang - Geokseong - Busan

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit Baegyangsa Temple. Baekyangsa Temple is located within Naejangsan National Park. The combination of the mountain and valleys on both sides creates beautiful scenery. Nature reveals its beauty throughout all seasons here especially the red maple leaves during the fall. Then, visit to Juknokwon - Bamboo Garden, a bamboo forest cultivated by the town of Damyang. The garden featuring a beautiful artificial waterfall, pavilion, walking paths and an eco-exhibition center, a popular destination for visitors. After lunch, visit Seomjingang Train Village. A steam engine train was built to be an exact replica as the one that used to run in the region. The train runs 10km between the old Gokseong Station (Seomjingang River Train Village) and Gajeong Station. Passengers can enjoy the scenic view of lush greenery along the Seomjingang River. Dinner at local restaurant. Tonight check in Busan Hotel.

DAY 5 - Busan

After lunch, exploring the colorful and historic alleyways of Busan's Gamcheon Culture Village. Famous for its brightly coloured terrace houses spread across the face of a steep hill looking out to the sea, Gamcheon Culture Village has been nicknamed Santorini of the East or Busan's Machu Picchu. Thereafter, transfer to Nampodong Shopping Street and Gukje Market. Enjoy your shopping time,this is a major shopping and happening district in downtown. Next, proceed to Jagalchi Market is Korea's largest seafood market. After the Korean War the market solidified itself as a fish market. Free shopping time at Duty Free Shop.
