ITINERARY / SCHEDULE

DAY 1 - Kaohsiung (Arrival)

Arrival Kaohsiung International Airport, local representative will pick up and transfer to lunch. Then, visit to The British Consulate at Takao. Is a building in the British style which was constructed in 1879. It is the oldest extant modern Western building in Taiwan and it was also the first consulate the British government built in Taiwan. Bottom of the The British Consulate at Takao, Sizihwan is known for its beautiful sunset and natural reefs, and the area includes scenic spots like the Siziwan Beach, Seaside Park, and the former British Consulate at Takao. You can enjoy the view of the sea over Kaohsiung Port. Next, visit to The Pier‐2 Art Center, it has been made into a unique open art space, providing artists and students with an environment in which to express themselves, and has already become Kaohsiung's most popular cultural spot. After dinner, transfer to hotel check in.

DAY 2 - Kaohsiung

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Lotus Pond and Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, is one of Kaohsiung’s most traditional scenic areas. The dragon's throat is the entrance and the tiger's mouth is the exit. Entering a dragon's throat and coming out a tiger's mouth symbolizes turning bad luck to good fortune. Then, heading to Buddha Memorial Center, a center of Buddhism in southern Taiwan. Thereafter, you can shopping at E-Da Outlet Mall, this is the first direct-sell outlet in Taiwan. Many shops provide discounts to satisfy your shopping needs can be seen here (excluded entrance ticket to E-Da Themepark). Next, visit to The Dome of Light, situated at the Kaohsiung MRT transfer station for the Red Line and Orange Line (Formosa Boulevard Station). The dome is the world's largest public art installation made from individual pieces of colored glass. The work not only adds to the beauty of the station, but also adds a new dimension to the art life of the Kaohsiung and creates a new scenic spot in the city. Tonight, spend your time at Liuhe Night Market (dinner at own expenses). Dainties of all lands and seas, food and beverage, special products are all available here, and the plenty of flavorful food of Liuhe Night Market is famous in Taiwan.

DAY 3 - Kaohsiung - Tainan

Breakfast serve at hotel, today visit to Tainan City. A photo stop at Chimei Museum (outlook view only), is a comprehensive museum with wide collections of Western art, musical instruments, weaponry and natural history. Then, visit to Ten Drum Culture Village, an Asia’s first drumming themed international art village. After lunch, visit to Anping Fort. The remaining more than 70 meters long south walls of the outer fort with worn-out red bricks, accompanied by the old banyan roots, chanted its odyssey. The fort is the very historical replica over three hundred years. Then, visit to Anping Old Street. Walking on the streets, you will discover “clod houses”, brick houses, and western style houses along the way. Food is the highlight of visiting Anping Old Street. There are so many different street foods that even for locals. Next, visit to Anping Tree House, is a banyan tree that for the past 70 years has grown over and throughout an old warehouse in Tainan City's Anping Fort area. Tonight , spend your time at Garden Night Market. It is often considered to be the largest and most famous night market in the city.

DAY 4 - Tainan - Kaohsiung

Breakfast serve at hotel, visit to Taiwan Confucian Temple, The Confucius Temple in Tainan was built in 1666, it was the first Confucius Temple, before the end of Manchu Dynasty. Then, visit to Qigu Salt Mountain, was once the largest solar salt field in Taiwan supplying salt for the domestic agricultural and industrial sector. Then, back to Kaohsiung, visit to Mei Non Hakka Village, you will discover a lot of traditional Hakka handicrafts, such as hand made umbrella, bamboo art's souvenirs and etc. Also, you can pay for the taste some Hakka traditional food such as Ban Tiao, Ice Block, Le Tea and etc. Then, visit to Vigor Kobo, the Castle of the Golden Pineapple here you can buy the famouse and fresh Pineapple cake. Tonight, dinner at own expenses at The Shinkuchan Commericial District. An evening market that caters to the younger teenage to mid 20's crowd in Kaohsiung City. Shinkuchan is a collection of several streets and alleys and is packed with boutique clothing shops and restaurants along with many stalls selling food, snacks, and drinks.
