Continuing in the hype of the New Year’s celebrations, new age carrier Vietjet officially welcomed a new service linking Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) with Van Don. The new route now connects the largest city of Vietnam with the attractive islands of Quang Ninh Province, meeting high demands for air transportation, travel and trade for locals and tourists alike, as well as contributing to trade and integration within Vietnam and the region.

Situated in the Quang Ninh Province, the new route will also serve as a direct gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay located 50km away and approximately a 60-minute ride from the newly opened Van Don International Airport. A popular destination for travellers from around the world, the bay, which consist of over 1,600 islands and islets that form a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars, is famous for its ocean karst topography.
